What it means to find your intention

Posted on Categories Discover & Learn

Finding your intention is not such a big deal. Really, it’s just an opportunity to find yourself.

But how can we find ourselves in what is for some people a lifelong journey of discovery?

Imagine meeting a stranger whom you’ll never see again and telling the truth & nothing but the truth about who you really are and where you’ve really come from.

In a way, we all have our own version of an answer to the question ‘what’s my purpose?’, ‘am I happy?’ or ‘am I fulfilling my professional dreams?’.

Some of us are quite happy or extremely happy about how far we’ve come and where we’re going to go next. Some are not so.

Which group are you in?

When you sit down to work out what your goals are and whether you’re really feeling fulfilled sometimes there’s just a piece missing.

That’s what we think intention fits in.

Intention is where you hope to be. It’s the stretch to where you hope you can reach one day or aspire to, towards a bigger greatness. The secret dream or aspiration that you’d never admit to anyone else, let alone yourself. Or maybe that stranger?

“Well, I mean, I’m not Mahatma Ghandi – I don’t think I need to save the world or solve a world crisis, do I…?”

But what if you could?

What does life actually mean for you? What’s the secret life plan? What’s the secret dream only that newly found stranger knows or the dream that’s been kept locked away in your heart and mind all these years and in some cases not have even been written down yet.

When we first talk to people we meet through Focus Now, we appear as ‘the stranger you met randomly but with whom you’ve found a great deal of connection with and trust, enough to begin the conversation. Through the process of discussion a bond starts to grow and we, ‘the stranger’ will hold you accountable for your secret Intention, and we take the chance to turn these Intentions into dreams with a plan.

Yes! Finally your intentions can certainly become a reality!

The rest becomes your lifelong journey of discovery.
